The man on the left said "I could be workin' but my wife passed last Saturday and I am grievin'. But my brother is caring for me" indicating the man on the right.

The man on the right said "I could be workin' a couple-a-jobs, but I'm drunk." He added that his brother, the man on the left was caring for him too.
