Edmonton Heritage Festival

Each summer about the first of August, Edmonton's ethnic communities celebrate their food, music, dance and culture. This festival over three days, has drawn as many as 350,000 people. It is a wonderful blend of costumes and action, ideal for decisive moment head-hunting photographers.

Old rivalries are left in the old countries. There was a wonderful moment after a Turkish dance presentation, when the dancers from the Greek pavillion where welcomed to share the stage. Below a young person of Greek heritage struts her stuff to Turkish music and Turkish approval.
