| RAW takes the processing away from the camera and puts it in the photographer's hands. Adobe Camera RAW in conjunction with Lightroom and/or Photoshop provides powerful tools for pre-processing - vastly finer in control than those of the camera. This is based upon Photoshop CS3 and at least some of the panels work the same in Elements. I will revise when and if I buy CS4.
